Hennessey Hammock
A Hennessey Hammock Instead of a Traditional Tent
The question that many people have about a Hennessey hammock is this: can it possibly replace a traditional tent when camping? This is something that you might need to find for yourself as no one else can tell you what would work for you. Only you know what works well for you and what does not work at all. This being said you might be interested to know that these hammocks work better than a traditional tent in many ways that you might not have thought of.
When you are traveling and camping do you have a difficult time setting up and breaking down your tent? Is that tent a cumbersome pack to lug around with you? This is something that people always complain about for many reasons. Something else that gets a good deal of attention is the fact that you might and probably have gotten wet as in rained/snowed on and/or muddy because your tent is on the ground. The advantage that you would have with a Hennessey hammock is that you are not on the ground, but rather sleeping securely between two trees. This takes out the concern about getting all muddy.
The Hennessey hammock also has a “roof flap” so to speak that keeps the rain and snow out as well as keeping you from getting sunburned in the day. There is also mosquito netting that ensures that you are NOT going to end up becoming the insect’s next meal while you are trying to sleep. More than this it also ensures that you are not going to wake up to the sounds of all manner of reptiles in your face or have to deal with spiders there either.
Something was said previously about the Hennessey hammock being lightweight as well as easy to set up and break down. Well, this certainly is the truth; however, you don’t need to take our word for it! The best thing to do would be to get one of your own and check it out for yourself. As they often say, seeing is believing. This is no different than anything else in this world now is it? If you are someone that is environmentally conscious and friendly you are bound to like the fact that the webbing straps that you will use to secure this hammock to the trees is not going to harm the bark of those trees in the least.
